in this case

discriminant will be equal to zero

here

b=-2(k-1)

a=1

c=1

b^2-4ac=0

4(k^2+1-2k)-4×1×1=0

4k^2+4-8k-4=0

4(k^2-2k)=0

4k(k-2)=0

k=0

k=2

both value will satisfy the ,condition of equal roots
