Step-by-step explanation:

2 {x}^{2}  + 2kx + 3 = 0

The roots are real and equal.

Discriminant =0.

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac = 0

( {2k)}^{2}  - 4 \times 2 \times 3 = 0

4 {k}^{2}  - 24 = 0

4 {k}^{2}  = 24

 {k}^{2}  =  \frac{24}{4}

 {k}^{2}  = 6

k =  \sqrt{6}

The value of k are +√6 and -√6.
