since it has two different roots

Hence, Discriminant (D) = 0

Here a = k ,b = -1 ,c = -6

so,

D = 0

b²-4ac = 0

1 -4×k×(-6) = 0

1 + 24k = 0

24k = -1

k = -1/24 ..ans....
