find the value of k for the following quadratic equation so that ot should have equal roots kx2+6x+1 =0​

We know that,

To have equal roots, the determinant should be equal to 0

 {b}^{2}  - 4ac = 0

 {6}^{2}  - 4 \times k \times 1 = 0

36 - 4k = 0

36 = 4k

 \frac{36}{4}  = k

k = 9
