Find the value of k for the following quadratic equation so that it has two equal roots kx2 + 2x - 1 = 0

Equation = Kxsq. + 2x - 1

formula of two equal roots = Bsq. - 4ac.

then, a= K. b= 2 c= -1

So bsq. - 4ac=0

2sq. -4*k*(-1) = 0


4 + 4k = 0

4k = -4
k = -4/4
k = -1.
