(1) kx- 2y + 6= 0

4x- 3y +9= 0

if the equations have infinately many solutions then:-

a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

k/4 = 2/3     0r   k/4= 6/9

by cross multiplication:

3k= 8   or     9k= 24

k= 8/3  or  k=8/3

so, the required value of k= 8/3.

Answer:8/3

Step-by-step explanation:

(1) kx- 2y + 6= 0

4x- 3y +9= 0

if the equations have infinately many solutions then:-

a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

k/4 = 2/3     0r   k/4= 6/9

by cross multiplication:

3k= 8   or     9k= 24

k= 8/3  or  k=8/3

so, the required value of k= 8/3.
