Answer :-

If the equation has real and equal roots, then it's discriminant (D) = 0

For the given equation -

  • a = 4
  • b = k
  • c = 9

\sf D = b^2-4ac = 0

\sf k^2 - 4 \times 4 \times k \times 9 = 0

\sf k^2 - 144k = 0

\sf k^2 = 144k

\sf k = 144

Value of K = 144
