kx^2 – 14x + 8 = 0

(x-2) is a factor

putting X=2 in the equation we get;

kx^2 – 14x + 8 =0

k(2)^2 – 14*2 + 8 = 0

4k-24+8=0

4k-16=0

4k=16

k=4

Therefore, the value of k is 4
