Find the value of k for which pair of equations 2x-KY+3=0 and 4x+6y-5=0 represent parallel lines

2x - ky + 3 = 0

4x + 6y - 5 = 0

As it is a parallel line,

a1/a2 = b1/b2

2/4 = - k/6

By cross multiplying....

-4k = 12

k = 12 / -4

k = -3
