Roots Are Equal
Therefore,

b
² - 4ac = 0
a = k
b = 2
c = 3

2² - 4 * 3 * k = 0
4 - 12k = 0
12k = 4
k = 4/12

k = 1/3

kx²+2x+3=0
As the roots of the given equation are equal, D=0.
a=k, b=2, c=3

D=b²-4ac
0=2²-4(3k)
0=4-12k
12k=4
k=1/3
So the value of k is 1/3.
