Ans;- D=b²-4ac

(k)²+4.4.2
k²+32=0
k=-√32
or
k=+√32

When there are equal roots of the equation , the discriminant = 0

D = 0

b {}^{2} - 4ac \: = 0

k {}^{2} - (4 \times - 4 \times 2) = 0

k{}^{2} + 32 = 0

k = +√32

k = -√32
