Find the value of k for which the following
pair of equations has no solution:
x + 2y = 3, (k - 1)x + (k + 1)y = (k + 2)​

(k-1) + (k+1) y = k + 2

a1 =1  b1=2   c1=3  

a2=k-1   b2=k+1   c2= (k+2)

for no solution a1/a2=b1/b2 not equal to c1/c2

1/k-1 = 2/k+1

k-1=2(k-1)

k-2k= -2-1

-k=-3  

k=3 , hence proved
