Find the value of k for which the lines 2x + 3y - 4 = 0 and kx + 6y + 5 = 0 are parallel.

here two line are parallel therefore m1m2=0

a1a2+b1b2+c1c2=0

(2)(k)+(3)(6)+(-4)(5)=0

2k+18-20=0

2k=2

k=1
