2k - 6 = 2 2k = 8 k = 8 / 2 k = 4

kx^2 - 14x = 8

let x = 2 (given)

k(2)^2 - 14 (2) + 8

4K - 28 + 8 = 0

-4k = - 28 + 8

-4k = - 20

k=20/4

K = 5
