Given Equation is 3x + 2y = -5   ----- (1)

Here a1 = 3, b1 = 2, c1 = 5.

Given Equation is x - ky = 2   ----- (2)

Here, a2 = 1, b2 = -k, c2 = -2

Now,

Given that the Equation has linear solution.

= > a1/a2 ≠ b1/b2

= > (3/1) ≠ (2/-k)

= > 3 ≠ (2/-k)

= > k ≠ -2/3.

Hope this helps!
