Find the value of k for which the system of equations have infinitely many solutions x-ky=2, 3x+6y=-5​

Answer:

x - ky = 2

x - ky - 2 = 0  -->  (1)

3x + 6y = -5

3x + 6y + 5=0  -->  (2)

Infinitely many solution

So,

a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

1/3 = -k/6 = -2/5

1/3 = -k/6

2 = -k

k=(-2)

-k/6 = -2/5

-k = -12/5

k=12/5
