Since, 2 is the solution

k {x}^{2}  + 2x + 3 = 0

x = 2 must satisfy it.

k {2}^{2}  + 2 \times 2 + 3 = 0

4k + 7 = 0

4k =  - 7

k =  \frac{ - 7}{4}

The value of k is "-7/4".

Step-by-step explanation:

The \ given \ equation \ is:\\kx^{2}+2x+3=0\\ and, x= 2\\k=?\\On \ putting \ the \ value \ of \ "x" \ in \ the \ above \ equation,we \ get\\k(2)^2+2(2)+3=0\\k4+4+3=0\\k4+7=0\\On \ moving \ "7" \ to \ the \ right \ side,we \ get\\k4=-7\\k=\frac{-7}{4}
