Answer:

 {2x}^{2 }  - 3x + k = 0

2( - 1 )^{2}  - 3( - 1) + k = 0

  + 2  + 3  + k = 0

5  + k = 0

k =  - 5

Answer:

Question :- value of polynomial

Given :- Root = -2

polynomial = 2x²-3x+k = 0

Solution :-

The value of x = -1 (given)

hence putting the value in polynomial ,,,,,

=> 2x²-3x+k = 0

=> 2(-1)² -3(-1) +k = 0

=> 2 +3+k =0

=> 5+k =0

=> k = -5

Verification.

We have the value of x = -1

and value of k = -5

Hence verify them by putting their values in polynomial

2(-1)²-3(-1)+(-5)= 0

=> 2+3-5 =0

=> 5-5 = 0

=> LHS = RHS

Hence verified ✔️
