Find the value of K , if -1 is the zero of the polynomial p(x) = 2x^2-4x+k.

2+4+k=0

6+k=0

p( - 1) = 2( { - 1)}^{2}  - 4( - 1) + k = 0 \\  \\ p( - 1) = 2(1) - 4( - 1) + k = 0 \\  \\ p( - 1) = 2 + 4 + k = 0 \\  \\ p( - 1) = 6 + k = 0 \\  \\ p( - 1) = k =  - 6 \\  \\ here \: we \: get \: \:  \:  \:  \:  k =  - 6
