kx^3+7x^2kx -3

k(x^3+7x^3)-3
k(8x^3)-3 »»»»» 1

2x+1 is a factor given
2x+1 = 0

x= -1/2

k(8(-1/2)^3)-3 = 0

k(8(-1/8))=3

k(-1) = 3
k = -3
