Given cos 20 / sin 70 degree + 2 cos theta/ sin(90-theta) = k/2

= cos(90-70)/sin 70 + 2 cos theta/cos theta = k/2        [sin(90-theta) = cos theta]

= sin 70/sin70 + 2 = k/2

= 1 + 2 = k/2

on cross multiplication, we get

k = 6.

Hope this helps!
