Answer:

k = 5

Hello.  I hope this helps you.  Have a great day!!!!

Step-by-step explanation:

The 3 points are collinear

=> slope from (1, -1) to (11, 4)  =  slope from (1, -1) to (k, 1)

=> ( 4 - (-1) ) / ( 11 - 1 )  =  ( 1 - (-1) ) / ( k - 1 )

=> 5 / 10 = 2 / ( k - 1 )

=> 1 / 2 = 2 / ( k - 1 )

=> k - 1 = 2×2 = 4

=> k = 4 + 1 = 5
