Find the value of k, if t+ 4 is a factor of 2t + kt -1.​

Answer:

let p(t) = 2t + kt -1

If t+4 is a factor of p(t)

so t= -4

putting t= -4

p(-4) = 2(-4) + k(-4) -1

0= -8 -4k -1

0= -9 -4k

4k= -9
