find the value of k if the line joining P(2,3) and Q(5,7) is perpendicular to the line joining A(5,k) and B(3,2)​

Answer:

√(5-2)²+(7-3)²=√(3-5)²+(2-k)²

squaring both sides

3²+4²= 2²+(2-k)²

25-4= (k-2)²

21= (k-2)²

±√21= (k-2)

thus, when +ve

k= √21 +2

thus , when -ve

k= -√21 +2
