Answer:

k = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Three points A ( 2 , 3 ) , B ( 4 , k ) and C ( 6 , - 3 ) they are collinear :

Since they collinear their slope will be equal :

To find slope of line we use :

m = Δ y / Δ x = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / ( x₂ - x₁ )

( k - 3 ) / ( 4 - 2 ) = ( - 3 - k ) / ( 6 - 4 )

( k - 3 ) / 2 = ( - 3 - k ) / 2

k - 3 = - 3 - k

k + k = - 3 + 3

2 k = 0

k = 0

Hence we get required answer.
