A quadratic equation is of the form ax² + bx + c = 0
If the roots are real and equal  then, b² - 4ac = 0.

Here,
3x² - k√3x + 4 = 0

a = 3 , b = -k√3 , c = 4

b² - 4ac = 0

(-k√3)² - 4*3*4 = 0
3k² - 48 = 0
3k² - 48
k² = ± 16
k = ± 4

k = 4 , - 4

Hope this helps you !

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A quadratic equation is of the form ax² + bx + c = 0

If the roots are real and equal  then, b² - 4ac = 0.

Here,

3x² - k√3x + 4 = 0

a = 3 , b = -k√3 , c = 4

b² - 4ac = 0

(-k√3)² - 4×3×4 = 0

3k² - 48 = 0

3k² - 48

k² = ± 16

k = ± 4

k = 4 , - 4
