if 3 is the zero of polynomial the polynomial then,
⇒x^2+kx-10
⇒(3)^2+k(3)-10=0
⇒9+3k-10=0
⇒3k=10-9
⇒3k=1
⇒k=1/3
∴ the value of k = 1/3
i hope that this will help u........................^_^

if 3 is a zero of p(x) = x²+kx-10
p(3) = 0
⇒ 3²+k×3-10 = 0
⇒ 9+3k-10 = 0
⇒ 3k-1=0
⇒ k = 1/3
