Find the value of k, if (x + 1) is a factor of a polynomial, kx cube - 9x square + x + 6k

Answer:

If (x+1) is factor then x = –1 is one zeros of polynomial. so putting x = -1 in polynomial. we get,

k( - 1) {}^{3}  - 9( - 1) {}^{2}  - 1 + 6k = 0 \\  - k - 9 - 1 + 6k = 0 \\ 5k = 10 \\ k = 2 \\ ans.
