p(x) = kx² + 2kx + (k-1)

g(x) = x-1 ; x = 1

Since, g(x) is a factor of p(x)

Therefore remainder will be zero

p(1) = k(1)² + 2k(1) + k - 1

0 = k +2k +k -1

0 + 1 = 4k

1 = 4k

k = 1/4
