Find the value of K, if x – 1 is a factor of x³ + 6x² - 4x - k.​

x = 1

1^3 + 6*1^2 - 4*1 - k

1 + 6 - 4 - k

7 - 4 - k

3 - k

-k = -3

k = 3

if x-1 is the factor of k then,

x-1=0

x=1

by substituting the value of x

1³+6(1)²-4(1)-k

1+6-4-k=0

3-k=0

k=3
