If x + 2 is the factor then x = -2 ____(1)

Now putting the values to the given question from equation (1) we get ,

p(-2) = 4(-2)^3+6(-2)^2-k(-2) +2 =0
-8^3-6+2k+2 =0
-8^3-6+2= -2k
-8^3-4= -2k
Now Lcm of 3and 1 =3
-8^3-12^3 =-2k
-20^3= -2k

k = -20^3*-2
k = 40^3

Hope it helps u ; )
