x*2-5+k

2*2-5+k=0

4-5+k=0

k=+1

x-2= 0

x = 2

put x = 2 in p(x)

p(2) = 2²-5+k

since x-2 is factor therefore value of p(x) will be 0

0 = 4-5+k

0 = -1+k
k = 1
