x = -2

let f(x) = x³+2kx+16

putting x= -2 in f(x) R = 0 , by factor theorem

f(-2) = (-2)³+2k(-2)+16

=> 0 = -8-4k +16

=> 0 = 8-4k

=>-8 = -4k

 \frac{ - 8}{ - 4}  = k \\  =  > 2 = k
