2x + 3y = k
=> 2(2) + 3(1) = k
=> 4 + 3 = k
Therefore k = 7, if (x,y) = (2,1)
If x = -1:
2x + 3y = k
=> 2x + 3y = 7 ---(1)
=> 3y = 7 - 2x
=> y = (7 - 2x)/(3)
Coming back from (1):
=> 2(-1) + 3y = 7
=> 3y = 7 + 2
=> 3y = 9
Therefore y = 3, if x = -1.
