Let P(x)= 2x^2-kx+1

By factor theorem
(Factor theorem states the if P(x) is a polynomial and x-a is factor of P(x) then P(a) will be zero.)

Therefore, P(3)= 0.

=> 2×(3)^2-k×3+1=0

=> 18-3k+1= 0

=> 3k= 19

=> k= 19/3.

I hope it will help you.
