x-3=0

x=3

p(x)=4x+3x-4k+7

p(1)=4(3)+3(3)-4k+7

=>4(3)+3(3)-4k+7=0

=>12+9-4k+7=0

=>28-4k=0

=>-4k= -28

=>k= -28/-4

=>k = 7

Thus,value of k is 7.

let p(x) = 4x + 3x - 4k + 7

when p(x) is divided by ( x-3)

x-3=0

=> x = 3

therefore

p(3)=0

4*3 + 3*3 -4k +7 = 0

=>12 + 9 -4k + 7 = 0

=> -4k = -28

=> k = 7

( * ) means multiply
