if \: x - 1 \: a \: factor \: of \:  {4x }^{2}  - 15x + k

so \: x - 3 = 0 \\ then \: x = 3

now \: let \: us \: put \: x = 3 \: in \: the \: equation

 {4(3)}^{2}  - 15(3) + k = 0

4(9) + 15(3) + k = 0 \\ 36 + 45 + k = 0 \\ let \: us \: take \: 36 \: and \: 45 \: on \: the \: right \: side

k =  - 36 - 45

k =  - 81 \\ thanks...

and it was not -21 check his / her comment it was 15x he /she only wrote 15
