(x-3)=3

×=3

p(x)=p(3)

=> 3²+3³-3²+3(3)-1

=9+27-9+9-1

=9+27-9+8

hence by factor theorem x-3 is a factor of k²+x³-x²+3x-1

therefore p(x)=9+27-9+8
