Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

since we know x+5 is the factor of p(x)=2x³+kx²-11x-30

lets find the zero of g(x)=x+5

                                 g(x)=x+5=0

                                 g(x)=x= -5

now, that we have the zero of g(x) lets put the value in p(x)

p(x)=2x³+kx²-11x-30

p(-5)=2(-5)³+k(-5)-11(-5)-30

=2(-125)-5k+55-30

=-240-5k+25

=265-5k

now lets solve the above answer to find k

265-5k=0

265=5k

265/5=k

53=k

k=53

hope it helps!!  :)
