ATQ, (x - 5) is a factor of polynomial p(x) x² - 5kx - 2

therefore 5 is a zero of the given polynomial. (x - 5 = 0 ➡ x = 5)

putting value of x is p(x)

➡ p(5) = (5)² - 5k(5) - 2 = 0

➡ 25 - 25k - 2 = 0

➡ 23 - 25k = 0

➡ -25k = -23

➡ k = 23/25
