find the value of k is x-1 the factor of the following
p(x) =  {2x}^{2} + kx +  \sqrt{2}

------>x-1=0
------>x=1

So,
put this in given equation

p(1)=2(1)^2+k(1)+root2

p(1)=2+k+root2
k+root2=-2
k=
 -  \sqrt{2}  - 2
 - ( \sqrt{2 }  + 2)
