a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

3/9 = k/6

k = 18/9 = 2

k = 2

hope it helped you

\large{explanation}

given

3x+4y=k.....(1)

9x+12y=6

3(3x+4y)=6

3x+4y=2.....(2)

.........................

now the equations

3x+4y=k

3x+4y=2

for infinite solutions

 \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{b1}{b2}  =  \frac{c1}{c2}

comparaing this we get

 \frac{3}{3}  =  \frac{4}{4}  =  \frac{k}{2}

 \frac{3}{3}  =  \frac{4}{4} ..... \frac{4}{4}  =  \frac{k}{2}

 \frac{1}{1}  =  \frac{1}{1} ......8 = 4k

1 = 1.......k = 2

the value of k is 2
