Find the value of k so that 2xcube-3xsquared+kx-2 leaves a remainder of 3 when divided by x+1

by hit and trial method

2x³-3x²+kx²-2

x+1=0

x=-1

putting the values of x

2(-1)³-3(-1)²+k(-1)²-2=0

2(-1)-3(1)+k(1)-2=0

-2-3+k-2=0

-2-2-3=-k

-7=-k

k=7
