Given:-

  • x-3 is a factor of 3x²-11x+k.

Now,

If x-3 is a factor then x-3 should be equal to 0.

=》 x-3 = 0

=》 x = 0+3

{\large{\blue{\boxed{=》\:\:x\:=\:3}}}}

Therefore,

By putting the value of x we get,

=》 3(3)²-11(3)+k = 0.

=》 3(9)-33+k = 0

=》 27-33+k = 0

=》 -6+k = 0

=》 k = 0+6

{\large{\blue{\boxed{=》\:\:k\:=\:6}}}}

Therefore the required value of k is 6.
