so :-

a1/a2 = b1/b2 = c1/c2

2x +3y = 7

(k - 1)x + (k + 2)y = 3k

2/k-1 = 3/k+2 = 7/3k

2/k-1 = 7/3k

6k = 7k -1

6k - 7k = -1

-k = -1

k = 1

3/k + 2 = 7/3k

9k = 7k + 14

9k - 7k = 14

2k = 14

k = 7
