5 to the power m ÷5 to the power -3 =5 to the power 5

Your equation:  5^{m}/ 5^{-3} = 5^{5}

It states that the power law when dividing exponents with the same base you must subtract them.

Therefore.. m - (-3) = 5

= m + 3 = 5

m = 2
