find the value of m if 2^11 ÷ 2^5 = 2^-3 * 2^2m-1​

Answer:

2^11 - 5 = 2^ -3 +2m- 1

2^6 = 2^ -4 +2m

Bases are same,then exponent on both sides will be equal.

6= -4 + 2m

2m= 6+4

2m = 10

m=10/2

m=5

According to the Question:-

 ⟹\frac{ {2}^{11} }{ {2}^{5} }  =  \frac{ {2}^{ - 3} }{ {2}^{2m - 1} }

Here ,all values are in divide form with same base say 2 so power gets substract:-

  ⟹{2}^{11 - 5}  =  {2}^{ - 3 - (2m - 1)}

 ⟹{2}^{6}  =  {2}^{ - 3 - 2m + 1}

⟹ {2}^{6}  =  {2}^{ - 1 - 2m}

Here ,base is same on both sides so 2 get cancelled

⟹6 =  - 1 - 2m

⟹6 + 1 =  - 2m

 ⟹- 2m = 7
