– mx – 6 .

x-2=0

x=2

3x2-mx-6=0

putting the value of x

3×4-m2-6

12-2m-6=0

12-6=2m

6=2m

m=3

By remainder theorem

x-2=0

x=2

putting x=2 in equation.

3(2)2-m(2)-6=0

3×4-2m-6=0

12-2m=6

2m=6-12

m= 3
