Given : 5 power m ÷ 5 power -3 = 5 power 5

5^m ÷ 5^-³ = 5⁵

To find : The value of m

Solution :

5^m ÷ 5-³ = 5⁵

Using the law of exponents :

a^m ÷ aⁿ = a^m ⁻ ⁿ

5^m ⁻ (⁻³) = 5⁵

⇒ 5^m ⁺³ = 5⁵

⇒ m + 3 = 5

⇒ m = 5 - 3

⇒ m = 2

Hence,the value of m is 2.
