Given

we have given function p(y) = 2y³-y²-13y-6

To Find

we have to find function at p(2/3)

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Function p(Y)= 2y³-y²-13y-6

Given to find p(2/3)

Now, compared with the function p (y)

we obtain y= 2/3 So,we have to find the value of function at y= 2/3

Note : Any change in f(y) will cause a change in the function.

Now,we will put 2/3 in the function y and hence ,find the value of the given function.

=>p(2/3)= 2(2/3)³-(2/3)²-13(2/3)-6

=>p(2/3)= 2(8/27)-4/9-26/3-6

=>p(2/3)= 16/27-4/9-26/3-6

Taking LCM of 27,9&3 is 27

=>p(2/3)= 16-12-26×9-6×27/27

=>p(2/3)=4-234-162/27

=>p(2/3)=-230-162/27

=>P(2/3)= -392/27

Extra information=>

➥The above function is a cubic equation as highest power is 3.

➥f(y)=y here ,f is the function and y is an input which gives output say 'y'.

➥We can find infinite number of output of f(y) by putting infinite number of values into f(y).
